Job Description

Medtronic seeks a Senior Convention Planning Specialist to develop and execute convention strategies for assigned business sectors. The role involves leading planning activities, managing budgets and vendor partnerships, and ensuring successful event execution aligned with business objectives. Remote position based in the United States with up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead convention strategy, planning, and execution for assigned business sectors
• Evaluate convention opportunities and recommend participation strategies with stakeholders
• Manage exhibit logistics including space, vendors, shipping, installation, and on-site execution
• Develop and manage convention budgets, forecasts, and expenses for accountability
• Ensure compliance with Medtronic policies, AdvaMed guidelines, and legal requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED with 8+ years convention or event management experience
• Associate degree with 6+ years related experience, or bachelor's degree with 4+ years
• Budget management, forecasting, and vendor relationship experience
• Cross-functional stakeholder collaboration and concurrent project management skills
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Healthcare/medical device convention program experience preferred
• AdvaMed guidelines and healthcare compliance knowledge preferred
